Meet Persimmon
Basic Information
New to OCDRT on 8/11/2014, Persimmon is around a year of age. She was described as being scared at the shelter, but has opened up in her foster home. We did see the scared side of her while at the vet clinic for her vaccines and heartworm test. We will help her understand people are good even when they are restraining her. She introduced very nicely to Mongoose & resident Mason & it's been a playfest ever since. She crated quiet overnight and is eating well, which is good b/c she needs to gain some weight. She is scheduled for her spay next week. She is very willing to forget her past and trust again. We will work with her on crate training, house training, general manners, traveling in a vehicle, & obedience.

Persimmon has been with us for a little over 2 weeks. She is now fully vetted & staff said she was a very good girl! She is fully crate trained, doing well with house training, loves to travel, & her social skills are coming along well. She takes her time to meet new people, but is no longer scared to do so. She likes to play with the other fosters but still needs guided to not play so hardcore. She is very athletic and can easily jump 5' high from standing. She loves to play fetch and is high prey drive around any moving objects. She needs a home that will give her time to bond & will meet her high exercise / mental stimulation needs. Persimmon needs a home experienced with high drive dogs. She is a lover and devotes herself to her family, will you do the same for her?

Persimmon had a meeting today that went very well. She has a deposit to hold her for her home visit next Sunday. All other inquiries are on hold.
