Meet Santana
Basic Information
New to OCDRT on 12/26/2014, Santana is a young adult male who found himself as a stray in a shelter. He was recently neutered and OCDRT will finish the remaining vetting. He is reserved around new people at this time, but did wag his tail at his foster mom. He is currently not interested in interacting with the resident ACD's however he introduced well to them, so we will give him time to adjust. Santana is learning crate training, house training, leash manners and foundation skills. He traveled well to his foster home.

Santana is really starting to come out of his shell. He loves meeting new people and shows no fear of them. He still startles easily at noises, but is learning the world can be a fun, loving place. He is interacting very well with the foster family's dogs and loves to play. He has also had exposure to five cats and seems to enjoy them also (no cat chasing -yay!). Santana likes to "collect" all the toys and drag them to his "lair" - foster family has taken to calling him "Smaug" in honor of The Hobbit character. Just a typical ACD.

Santana came for a stay at Corene's Doggie Day Care. He introduced very well to the pack and is all about playing! He is much more comfortable in a country setting, as there are not as many unknown noises. He alert barks when someone enters the home, but quickly defers to his handler and meets everyone nicely. Santana is completely crate trained and learning to walk nice on a leash. He loves to play ball! He adapted quickly to this stay and is a happy fun loving guy. He can be mouthy, but is learning that is unacceptable play with humans, so children over 8 would be best. This is a really nice male who you don't come across very often!
